I initially went to college in the Bay Area thinking I’d become a web designer….make slick websites and call it a day. But the program surprised me. Instead of just teaching tools, it challenged me to use digital media to break rules, push ideas, and express things I didn’t always say out loud.
After college, i ran away with the circus…literally. I traveled across the U.S. with Cirque du Soleil, hopping from city to city and living with coworkers who became more like family. It was chaotic yet magical — like a long road trip with confetti, hoola hoops, and a large capacity popcorn machine.
Now, at Miami Ad School, I’m learning how to turn ideas into real world executions. I spend my days building mockups, writing decks, studying what makes a great campaign work. Sharpening the skills to become an art director who can think and concept strategically.
College taught me how to be gutsy like an artist.
The circus taught me that great things happen when you work together.
And now in ad school, I finally feel all those life lessons are coming together: collaborate, ideate bravely, and pitch ideas practically.
The chapter’s still being written…but I feel like I'm just getting to the good part.
